Mr Ian Williams

Mr Ian Williams was appointed to the board on 3 September 2021, as an Independent Non-executive Director.

Mr Williams is an experienced non-executive director and corporate advisor and was a partner of international law firms Herbert Smith Freehills and Ashurst for 20 years.

Mr Williams is a Director of ASX-listed New Hope Corporation. He is also Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee and a member of the Remuneration Committee and Nominations Committee.

Mr Williams is chair of McDonald Jones Homes and a director National Group Corporation, Stoddart Group, Spicers Paper, Softbank Robotics Australia and Baseball Australia; and Vice-President of the Australia Japan Business Co-operation Committee. He is a former chair of National Foods.

Mr Williams is a graduate in economics and law from the University of Sydney and in politics, philosophy, and economics from the University of Oxford. He represented both the Australian Wallabies and Japanese Brave Blossoms in rugby.
